This simple 30-piece playset is a perfect start to a Thomas & Friends wooden railway collection. The Quarry Mine Tunnel Set comes with enough easy-to-assemble track to construct a complete multi-loop layout. Engines Percy and Mavis can travel around and pick up cargo from the magnetic crane at the Sodor Cargo Company building. Knobs and cranks on the building let kids adjust the crane for precise lowering into the waiting railway car. An additional feature is the enclosed Quarry Mine tunnel, where engines disappear and then pop out the other side. The straight track pieces within this set flip over to reveal road, creating more flexibility in building layouts. The only issue is if you play with the tunnel on the floor, the kids often accidentally knock it over and eventually get frustrated that they have to take so much care walking around it.
